Shavuot Scholarship Campaign

The Shavuot Appeal is the 2nd largest annual fundraiser for WDS. All gifts to the campaign support our ability to ensure no family is ever denied a Jewish education for financial reasons. 

What is this campaign all about?

Together, we're committed to nurturing a profound love for Judaism and Israel in our students while providing them with an exceptional education. Our mission - rooted in lifelong learning and Jewish pride - guides every aspect of what we do, and that's something worth celebrating.

As we reflect on our legacy, it's clear that the resilience of the Jewish spirit is a cause for celebration. Our people have thrived and made a significant impact, thanks to our strong sense of community, ruach (spirit), identity, togetherness, and direction. At the heart of it all lies education—a Westchester Day School education—where we teach a love of Torah, a love of Medinat Yisrael and to foster a lifelong sense of curiosity and wonder.

וְהוֹדַעְתָּם לְבָנֶיךָ וְלִבְנֵי בָנֶיךָ

This resonates deeply as we strive to live towards the highest mitzvot - you shall teach them to your children and grandchildren, a love for Judaism, Israel, and learning.

Here at WDS, we never turn away families seeking a Jewish education yet face financial barriers. Now, more than ever, it's crucial that we provide our children with the same opportunities and education that our parents and grandparents prayed for and often sacrificed to obtain.
