8th Annual Summer Outing

Westchester Day School and Westchester Summer Day Tee Up a Day of Fun, Friendship, and Community

Monday, August 10 marked the much-anticipated 8th Annual Westchester Day School & Westchester Summer Day Golf & Tennis Outing, a beloved tradition that brings together our school and camp communities for an afternoon of connection, friendly competition, and fun.

With golf and tennis sold out, guests enjoyed time on the greens and courts, along with fitness, poolside relaxation, and an evening BBQ celebration. New this year, Mahjong quickly became one of the most talked-about parts of the afternoon. Led by Morah Mahj Jessica Klein, players of all skill levels joined in, with beginner lessons, guided play, and casual games throughout the afternoon.

This year’s outing was especially meaningful as we celebrated Danny Berger, a longtime champion of WDS and dedicated chair of the Tennis Tournament. Danny’s enthusiasm, leadership, and love of the game have helped shape the tennis portion into a must-join part of the Outing, and we were proud to honor him alongside so many friends and supporters.

More than a day of golf, tennis, Mahjong, and fun, the outing brought together parents, alumni, grandparents, friends, and supporters in support of Jewish education and the opportunities that make WDS and WSD such special places for our students and campers.

Relive the day! View Outing photos [HERE].
